On the first Friday in May every year, the Pigeon Forge Parkway hosts the incredibly popular Music in the Mountains Spring Parade. The 2019 parade takes place on May 3rd beginning at 6 p.m. (Eastern). The parade route begins at traffic light #6, which is conveniently located directly in front of The Ramsey Hotel and Convention Center! We offer the perfect location for you to easily walk out to the Parkway and enjoy the entertainment.
The Pigeon Forge Parade features numerous talent from area shows and theaters including singers, dancers, etc alongside high school marching bands, dance groups, choral groups, and baton twirlers from Tennessee, Ohio, West Virginia, Kentucky, Virginia, Georgia and more!
New for the 2019 parade are four cold-air balloons depicting popular children’s characters—the Pajaminals, Daniel the Tiger and Yogi Bear. A fourth, a baseball measuring 10-feet in diameter, recognizes the Ripken Experience Pigeon Forge.
The Grand Marshal for the 2019 Pigeon Forge Parade will be baseball legend Cal Ripken Jr. who has brought hundreds of baseball teams from around the country to Pigeon Forge since The Ripken Experience opened in 2016.
In addition to Cal Ripken Jr., celebrity Paula Deen will also be featured in the parade as well! Paula Deen continues to grow her business and investments in Pigeon Forge with Paula Deen’s Family Kitchen and the newly-opened Paula Deen’s Lumberjack Feud Show and Adventure Park, both of which are conveniently located about one mile away from The Ramsey.
