3. Gatlinburg Craftsmen’s Fair
Get all your holiday shopping done at the Gatlinburg Craftsmen’s Fair. This year marks the 44th anniversary of the event that celebrates arts and crafts in the Smokies. More than 180 craftspeople from all over the United States will gather to showcase their skills and offer their unique art for sale. Many of the artisans will sell holiday-themed items and unique gifts. The fair runs from October 10 through 27. Tickets are $7 for adults. Children 12 and under get in for free.

4. Oktoberfest at Ober Gatlinburg
Ober Gatlinburg’s 10th annual Oktoberfest runs from September 27 through November 3. The event celebrates traditions of the original Oktoberfest in Munich, Germany. Food takes center stage at Oktoberfest where visitors can try traditional Bavarian cuisine, such as schnitzel, bratwurst and strudel. The Outdoor Bier Garten features authentic German beer from a variety of breweries. 5. Fall Colors
Visitors flock to the Smoky Mountains every fall to see the beautiful fall colors as the trees make their autumn transformation.
