Dollywood’s Wildwood Grove
The biggest new addition to Pigeon Forge is the massive expansion opening at Dollywood, which is called Wildwood Grove. This five acre addition features new rides, places to eat, and activities perfect for the entire family. The theme features a whimsical forest setting filled with rides such as a new roller coaster that mimics the flight of a dragonfly, a treetop tower ride inspired by gently falling leaves, and more. Wildwood Grove is scheduled to open to the public on May 11, 2019.

Dolly Parton’s Pirates Voyage Dinner & Show
Pigeon Forge offers a variety of fun dinner shows featuring music, dancing, comedy, and more. Many visitors, however, have been wishing for something new and unique. Well, Dolly Parton’s team is granting that wish by opening the brand new Pirates Voyage Dinner & Show! The former “Celebration!” theater located adjacent to The Island has undergone a multi-million dollar renovation to transform into this amazing new experience. The show will feature a lagoon, pirate ships, pirates, delicious food and more! The first shows are scheduled to begin on May 24, 2019.

Rowdy Bear Adventure Park
The Rowdy Bear Adventure Park is a brand new attraction in Pigeon Forge that will feature a year-round tubing hill that mimics the feel of snow tubing! This will be the first ride available at Rowdy Bear Adventure Park, and they have dropped hints of adding two more rides later this year that will be unlike anything else available in the Smokies! This new attractions is located right beside The Local Goat restaurant on the north end of the Parkway in Pigeon Forge.

National Enquirer Museum
The National Enquirer is opening a brand new museum in May that features the history and most sensational stories behind the rise of the popular tabloid. The press release states that it is an interactive family attraction that will “deliver the story behind the story of the tabloid that created an industry. From being the first on the scene, having the first news helicopter in the sky, and being the first in the supermarket, they will continue that history as the first tabloid with an immersive museum attraction. Visitors of all ages will explore new National Enquirer exclusives on the stories that changed the course of history. Dive into the JFK conspiracy, get the scoop on the British Royal Family, explore the biggest crimes of the past century and experience the life of celebrities in Hollywood.”

Nation’s Longest Sky Bridge
While not located in Pigeon Forge, this exciting new addition to our neighbor, Gatlinburg, is exciting and incredibly special. Opening May 17, the SkyBridge at Skylift Park in Gatlinburg will be the nation’s longest skybridge spanning a whopping 680 feet with incredible views of downtown Gatlinburg and the surrounding Great Smoky Mountains. It is sure to be a breathtaking experience unlike anything else in our nation!
